Today With DH….sort of

DH and I drove over to the Super Walmart (SW) this morning. While there I got another little box/set of stitch holders. (I need them to do the Adamas Shawl since I didn’t have enough before.) While there I got some scrapbook stickers–a knitting Holliday Tote Swap that I was in over the past hollerdaze my spoiler sent a little scrapbook that she had decorated the cover of with little knitting related stuffs and labeled it “FINISHED OBJECTS”–to use when I get some of OTK stuff done.

Think Pink

I found for $1 little deals that said make your own fashion statement, they included a little iron and a tiny little demensional fabric paint pen. They had two statements: “I Survived”, and “I’D RATHER BE”; I got both of the I’d rather be’s. At my local Walmart I got a women’s pink ball cap. When I got home I combined these to create this:

I now have two ball caps of my very own: (1)homemade pink, “I’d Rather Be Knitting”; (2) purchased official Red Hat Ladies red, “Hattitude”.

I have another “kit” so am thinking of getting another hat and doing it. Then using the hat as a gift in one of my upcoming swaps. (Sorry about the pic, if I increase the megapixals so it’s a good pic I cannot get it onto blogger!) Either that, or getting a pink tee shirt and putting together a pink shirt to go with the cap so that it’s sort of an outfit. What do y’all think?

Zephyr Question Answered

Someone asked if I have worked with the Zephyr 50/50% wool/silk before, and the answer is yes. I have a 75% completed “Ella” (from knitty dot com) in the Ice Blue Zephyr. It makes such a sensually soft and wonderful fabric! I just love working with it. I am hoping to be able to get a 4oz ball of it in white and seeing if I can koolaide dye it to some funky color. but that’s gotta wait.
