It’s been so very hot since dh has been home. It’s been 100+ f everyday, with heat indexes of between 105 and 125 f. I do good to knit at all, I have liteweight projects but in this heat it’s sometimes hard to manage the desire!
DH is doing pretty good. The homehealth nurse has cleared me to be able to do the bandage changes and they provide the supplies, so that’s good. I got the (unmentioned) situation with welfare officials cleared up, so was able to pay most of the bills.
One of my online dishcloth group listmom declared that I was to be recipient of this month’s RAOK, so monday I got a handful of wash/dish cloths in the mail. I also got a wonderful goody from my SP8 pal, the keychain sockblocker that I had asked for! The doggone thing is even cuter in person that it is online! I am planning on making mini socks for the keychain blocker out of scrap sock yarns that I have, will have. I can see it now…..one for halloween, one for thanksgiving, christmas….lol I can hardly wait!!!
About the Jughead hat that I was making. I realized that I had nowhere near enough of that funky green/yellow to do the hat. So I went back and re-read the pattern. In the meantime my middle son called and all but begged for me to make hime a new beanie cap for his birthday next month. So I decided to do the Jughead beanie cap for him, and I decided to use the pattern! Bellow is a picture of the completed hat being modled by Erchin, Bycicle Boy’s younger brother!
