Well my back is doing better. It isn’t doing great by any means, but atleast I can be lower pain off of the heating pad for a longer period of time before the muscle spasms come back with a vengence. I can do some knitting on larger fiber, still cannot work on anything as fine as lace or sock weight, but I think that’s because I have to hold those up close to see and I just cannot hold my arms in that position. But I can knit at about waist level, which works for my Eiffel sweater. But I can only knit in very short bursts, then I must sit it down and rest for a long time. Ugh, if I mention that my back is this bad again my doctor might mention surgery again….and blech!

My upper back is out. About all I am able to do is sit/recline on the sofa with a heating pad on my back, watch tv, and holler at teen servernt (aka 16 yr old son) to fetch me things. I got online just long enough to let y’all know my upper back is out.

I am knitting Eiffel from here: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTeiffel.html
This yarn that I am using, Brown Sheep and Company’s Cotton
Fleece DK Weight in “Perry’s Primrose” color. I am wanting to have this sweater done in time to wear it to Art Boy’s colloge graduation May 5th. Anyway, in this picture the yarn looks almost fuscia but it isn’t in reality.
I cast on the sweater and started knitting last night. Here’s what I have done so far, I know it’s not alot, but I gotta brag!

I cannot do anything about the groups that I am in on Blogger, but I have had it with my personal blog. I have moved, or rather am in process of moving it over to WordPress. If you to are tired of the all of the temporary Blogger problems that never end, ironic as that makes them permanant problems but Blogger won’t admit to that, you to can move.
My new blog addy:
February 9, 2007
I finally got overly frustrated with Blogger and moved here to WordPress. Yup, I did it I moved my blog, something I said that I wouldn’t do, I moved my personal blog. The reason? Well it has little to do with my personal blog, but alot to do with Blogger problems.
One of the Blogger groups that I am in I have been trying to post in for the last three days. I kept getting “Blogger 502 Error” message, which for those of you who don’t know means that my post was elledgidly lost in cyber space. Each time I got that message, I’d attempt to repost. Well finally a kind group member posted to my personal blog that each post had indeed been posted to the group! (I went back in and, with great hassles from Blogger, deleated the extra posts.) Quilly, an online friend, WordPress buddy and former Blogger buddy, suggested the move. And as they say, HERE I IS !
I have to go back over to Blogger, blech, and let folks know of the move before I post anything much more here than this hello. But for now, HELLO WORLD!!!
EDITED TO ADD: As you will now notice, the kind and genorous miraculous folks at WordPress have an easypeasy way for folks to transfer posts, and comments in mere moments from painful buthole blogger to here! So that’s just what I did!

WHENEVER Bottle/Boxxle Partner, LYS, & Misc Update
Posted by caffinna under Boxxle, LYS, cordials1 Comment
First off, if the best part of a cherrie cordial to you is the merishino cherrie, then just buy a jar of the cherries and skip the chocolate and cordial. I personally think the chocolate and cordial is the best part and the cherry is the worst. If I want the cherry I buy a jar of merishino cherries, and I do that when I want them, enough said.
I am planning on going to the local yarn shop for some much needed “sit-n-bitch” time tomorrow. Horrah!!! My dh will take me over to the LYS and drop me off in the morning. Then in the afternoon I’ll take the Pellivan, Grove’s version of public transpertation, over to the Super Walmart and do what little shopping I have left to do. Then when my dad gets off work he’ll give me a ride home. The important thing, I get to do some much needed “s-n-b” time!!!
My back is nearing normal. It take a couple of more days of Absorbean Jr, hot showers, and muscle relaxers, but eventually it’ll get there. Now if I could just afford a chiropractor I’d be good to go!
A Message For My WHENEVER BOTTLE/BOXXLE SWAP PARTNER
I am not asking for nor especting any of these things. I am merely wishing to inform you. And since you haven’t emailed me using a secret email address, I thought I’d leave a message for you here.
Please no coffee. Teas yes, I love green teas and all teas for that matter. But I am so finicky about my coffees that it’s just best to not do coffee. Coffee nick nacks, coffee cups/mugs, coffee candles, coffee stuff of all sorts yes, but not coffee itself.
I cannot currently get bamboo dbl pt needles at my LYS. I absolutely love bamboo dbl pt needles! My size 1’s I use all of the time, even though they are bent into a weird curved distorted shape. Any small sized dbl pt needles would be fine, just not birch as I tend to snap them in half in the smaller sizes quicker than nobody’s business!
Any yarn, especially sock or lace weights, would fine. Or anything that happens to jump out, scream at the top of its lungs, “Jan would realy love me!” would be fine. Naturally, being in three online sock knitting groups, two online lace knitting groups, I colloct any/all sock and lace weight yarns, but anything is fine.
What I truely get the biggest kick out of is the oddest sort of thing. The dollar store, yard sale, garage sale, thrift store, resale shop, etc find. You know little bottles of shampoo and conditioners, bath/shower gels, little bottles of nail polish, little kitchy nick nacks, little bags of hard candies, little things.
Anything and everything you choose to send me will be fine with me. So don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll love it.

Let’s face it. The worst part of a chocolate covered cherry cordial is the stupidly sweet disgusting merishino cherry. But I have made a find, of sorts. Hershey’s has come out with a candy that solves this problem. They have a limited edition Hershey’s Kiss, a Cherry Cordial. It’s a milk chocolate kiss filled with the cherry cordial filling and no cherry! It’s yummy yummy yummy! Go out and get yourself a bag of them!
I have tucked back some money towords my trip to Memphis, Tennessee this May to see Art Boy graduate colloge. I don’t have to pay for gas for the car trip, thanks to Mom and Dad; and either I’ll be staying with Art Boy and Weaver Woman or in hotel with Mom and Dad, either way I won’t have to pay for lodging and food. Only monies I’ll realy need is spending monies. But I figure if I can put back $50-$60 a month I should have somewhere around $200-$250 to spend on the trip. Now just to not spend that monies in the yarn shop!
I may, and I emphisize MAY, get to go spend some time at the LYS Wednesday. I hope to be able to finish my shawl before then if I do get to go. If I do get it finished beforehand, I am hoping that Fran can help me block it at the shop as I just don’t have the room here to stretch the living daylights out of it and block it properly here.
I did buy a bottle of nail polish this evening when I picked up my meds at Walmart. It’s a realy realy realy super pale flesh tone color. I wanted such a color so that it’d be both a change from clear polish, but at the same time almost as if I were wearing no polish. I don’t like wearing too much color while I am growing out my nails. That plus dh fusses if I wear bright colored polish on my nails.

I am feeling much better today. I was able to get refills on all of my medicines, including my muscle relaxers and gut medicine (the one that allows my digestive track to work properly without pain!) and I am nearly over the flue by now. YIPPIE!! Hopefully now I can get some decent restful sleep tonight since I can get some relief with my back. HOPEFULLY.
I have gotten some work done on my shawl. I have discovered, though, that name is NOT Feather n Fan Half Circle Lace Shawl, just Fan Half Circle Lace Shawl. Oh well, I was close. I may just have to make myself another purely selfish lace project after this one is finished. I have some more purple and/or lavendar and/or lilac (not sure) lace weight yarns in my stash. The cool thing about selfish lace projects is I can start them anytime, take my time, and work until an occassion comes along to suggest a deadline to speed me to a certain finish. I think I just talked myself into it!

I wish that I could take credit for this, but if I did it would be a total lie. Also if I did, too many people know I didn’t write it and would find me out and tell so why even try to pull it off? But it’s cute, I like it, and it came in an email post to one of my Oklahoma knitting groups that I am in. Sung to the tune of Roger’s and Hamerstein’s “Oklahoma”, the ‘NEW’ state song.
The New Oklahoma State Song
SNOW-klahoma,
where the cold fronts sweepin’ down the plain;
And the piles of sleet beneath your feet
Follow right behind the freezing rain.
SNOW-klahoma,
Ev’ry night my honey lamb and I
Travel home from work and hope some jerk
Doesn’t wreck our car in passing by.
We know we belong to the land
But it could use more salt and more sand!
And when we say
Yeeow! Ayipioeeay!
We’re only sayin’
you’re slick as snot,
SNOW-klahoma!
SNOW-klahoma!!!!!!!
