Well I had the MRI. My dh thinks that I had the old fashioned long tunneled MRI and not the little donut MRI because, and I quote..” this little backwater town..” but that isn’t the case. I know this isn’t the case because I asked why not the smaller machine when I saw the panic attack inducing machine! I was told that a full length view of my thoracic spinal section had been ordered, and that the smaller machine simply was too small to take such a long view. Ugh.

I made it nearly to the end of the 25 minute test with little problems. Then the very fine vibrations either caused by the machine, the magnetics, or a combination started me coughing and I couldn’t stop. I then made the horrible mistake of opening my eyes, yup a fatal mistake at that! It was then I started to overheat. That of-course brought on a hot-flash. Which of-course set-off more coughing fits. Which started more overheating. Which then set-off the panic attack! I began squeezing the little “panic” button thingy with every thing I possessed, and knowing it did no good began trying to claw my way out none the less! She brought me out. Allowed me sit up. I coughed until my throaght was hurting so much I knew it’d be awhile before I could cough again. Then I said I was ready to finish. Needless to say, she had to start that last series over again, but hey….finally the MRI was done and over with!

I don’t know exactly when I’ll learn the results of the MRI, but they will sent to a neurologist to read then on to Dr. Troll, who will then get them to me. Who knows exactly when I’ll hear the results.

As far dinner that evening went, individual frozen pizzas…microwavable no less! Lunch after the test was from KFC, dh took his on home, I had mine in the employee break-room at Walmart with my Mom!

Maybe I can get back online later today.
